Late WW1 Germans

Got plans for another campaign.  This time late WW1, so here are the Germans.  Only just finished them off, they have been hanging around in Fazzy mansions for years.  I don't know who made the tank.  The planes are Wings of Glory.  The majority of the figures look like Minifigs.

Ze Germans

The grunts

The Monster A7V

Assault troops

Cavalry

Mortars

Field Artillery

I looked at numerous camo schemes, but settled on this one.

Chhaaaaaarge!

Yes mate, I think they are. They came part of an unpainted Ebay job lot, I believe they are ww2 though. A slap of grey & they look fine on the tank..! Though thinking about it, i seem to have a current obsession for riders/passengers for bits of kit. I've about 20 napoleonic russian limber riders on the paint table at the mo....

For an army so adept at camouflage during WWII, all I can say about the Germans did during WWI is "Yechhhhhhh".

Best regards,

Chris

Great looking army and good photos - the colours look quite vibrant. They will be a joy to move around on the wargaming table. Regards, Peter

Cheers Peter & Chris. I agree the colour schemes are quite strong, strangely I do like what the Germans came up with. Come on Chris, wouldn't you just love to see Panthers & Tigers with some of the 'far out there' WW1 camo patterns....? lol

All the best

I just saw a picture of a Panther colored pink. {"Pink Panther"--ho ho.) The blood curdles.

MrF:

Are you using HiTT for WW1 rules, or another adaptation of DBx?

Your blog and Steve's Balagan website/blog inspire me!

Regards, Jeff

Hello Jeff

Yes HITT are the rules we use. I recommend them. They worked well for our 1922 campaign.
