Double Indian Mutiny Mutineers!!

Here's our double sized Indian Mutineers Army, lead by the infamous 'Mad MahaRajah of BadLadRaput'..... We've just had our first Indian Mutiny game & it was a very hard scrap for the Brits. I'll get it posted soon.

Also I've been reading more into the Indian mutiny, at times a very blood thirsty affair. Particularly at Cawnpore....Not a nice incident. Further reading at Wikipedia

Double Indian Mutiny British

Here's 24 bases of British power to put down the rebellion in India. We've strayed from the DBA 1500-1900 Army list for the Victorian British by swapping out 1 Knight for an extra Native Light Horse. This represents the higher proportion of loyal Native Light Horse to British Cavalry. It should make it a bit tougher for the Brits.

Indian Mutineers 1857-1859

'Throw the White Sahibs out of India....!'

Well here we go again, Down with the British. This time it's the Indian Mutiny or Sepoy Rebellion or Great Rebellion, whatever take your pick. Reading into the events, it was a very brutal affair. Here's a link to Wikipedia for a bit of further reading....
There is no specific Army in the DBA 1500-1900 lists so this is what we went with.

Indian Mutineers 1857-59
6x4 Muskets (Rebel Indian Infantry), 1x3 Cavalry, 2x2 Light Horse,
2x Cannon, 8x Fanatic, 2x2 Psiloi.

I reckon these will give the Brits a run for their money, hopefully we'll get a few linked games run soon. Plus we've built enough troops for a double sized game...

For Breakpoint purposes, Jagers only counted as half a point. Plus we used a Recoil Casualty system for this one. Small bits of gravel being used as markers. Hence a lot of casualties occurred later in the game.

A mighty scrap indeed, this one took a few sittings. Well where did it go wrong for the Jack & Amy's American/French connection..? It was bright start, I did think that the British centre was going to break, because the combats went to the horror's. The failure to destroy the two British Grenadiers was the turning point. Lafayette's command had shocking PiPs throughout the game which was also a shame. Well the Revolution will have to wait a little bit longer!
