Indian Mutiny 2 - Revenge at Rangapore

The second battle in our 'Epic' Indian Mutiny adventure. After the massacre of the Ghurkas and fall of Rangapore, the British forces receive reinforcements and prepare to re-take the town. Jack played the nasty Mutineers while yours truly the heroic British.

Jack prepared his defences, with a few improvised fortifications (+1 to combat), he set up a barricade of the roads and arrayed his forces in a 'V' shape facing the British. The bulk of the British attack would be at the point of the 'V', which looked to be the weak point of the line. The Ghurka troops in the British forces would receive a +1 close combat bonus, their 'blood lust' would be up wanting revenge. They would lead the attack with a regiment of British Regulars.

British firepower, Jack throws in his commander to help out, but the Mutineers are destroyed.

Off he goes... It's not good for this command.

__________________________
No mercy for the nasty Mutineers...

__________________________
It's Jack's turn to shake his head in disbelief....

__________________________
'Huzzah' The Union Jack flies once more over Rangapore!!!!!!!!

__________________________
The remaining Mutineers retreat, they'll add to the forces in the next battle.

Three cheers for the Ghurkas... HiP HiP Hooray! HiP HiP Hooray! HiP Hip Hooray!
That was brutal, but revenge is oh so sweet. To be fair, Jack's PiP rolls were awful, plus he was hampered by his initial set-up. The loss of his General for one turn cost him dearly, but that's what can happen when you throw them into combat. I feared an attack on the British right, where only the Lancers & Light Horse covered but it never happened.

Next up.... The Mad MahaRajah takes to the field... While at Rangapore the captured Mutineers are being strapped to the cannons.... Oh yuk!

Northwest Frontier Tribesmen

Here's our fearsome Tribesmen to threaten British India during good Queen Vicki's reign. Hordes of Jagers to snipe at the massed ranks. The Fanatics have been based on bigger sized bases, 5 figures to an element, just to give a more 'frightening' effect.... We shall have to see. We've also added some Cavalry elements to the listing.

NorthWest Frontier Tribesmen.
12x Jagers (3-4); 4x Psiloi (5); 8x Fanatics (2-3). PLUS 4xCavalry (2-3)

Indian Mutiny 1 - Save the Ghurkas

"Save the Ghurkas!" but Joanna Lumley is nowhere in sight this time....
http://www.gurkhajustice.org.uk/

The first battle in our Indian Mutiny Campaign. The Rebellion is in full swing, the loyal Ghurka troops at Rangapore have been besieged by the Mutineers. Two British columns set off to relieve the Garrison.

We added a few extra elements to the Army listings for each side. The British must reach the Garrison before the two Ghurka elements are destroyed by the Mutineers.
