Hi- certainly a great set of troops for the Dutch-Belgium Army - great painting and basing. You certainly have taken excellent photos of the Armies- well done indeed. Regards. KEV.

Like almost everyone else, I used to disparage the DB army, considering it to be composed of largely unenthusiastic conscripts and wanna-be French allies. My opinion has changed, thanks to vol. 1 (Quatre Bras) of the Osprey series on the Waterloo Campaign. The author (John Franklin) has been much more charitable to the DB contribution, and has sought to rehabilitate the reputation of their commander, Prince Willem. His arguments (and evidence) are compelling. Definitely worth a look; a lot of food for thought there!
