DBN Peninsular French 1808-14

Here's our Peninsular War French Army, ready to give Sharpy & the lads a hard time.  Quite boring actually, not much variation in there.  The Army shown has all the options apart from the Jagers, anyone know what they are supposed to be & I'll add them, suggestions please....lol

It seems the Wargaming 'Mojo' has returned, I've even got out our 6mm Napoleonics out, with the aim of rebasing them & re-fighting the Leipzig Campaign, only 25 years after I started collecting them!!!

DBN British Peninsular 1808-11

Napoleonic British in the Peninsular DBN style.  There are two lists for the British in the Peninsular, this one covers 1808 to 1811.  Here is the breakdown:

DBC Battle of Roodewal 1900

Hard Boer Geezers

"Roodewal (7 June 1900) After the occupation of Bloemfontein and Pretoria, the British army became dependent on the railway for transporting their required war provisions. Gen de Wet saw his chance of acquiring provincial at Roodewal station near Bloemfontein and decided to attack the station on 7 June 1900. He succeeded in overpowering the garrison and made off with goods worth £100 000. Casualties: Boer 8; British 28."


SO... Amy took the role of De Wett & his Kommando, yours truly the British.  The Boer force consisted of Elite Mounted Skirmishers, which could dismount when needed.  The British garrison at Roodewal consisted of a Maxim Gun, 5 Infantry & 2 Skirmishers.  Reinforcements would arrive if a successful activation roll was made.


For the Boers to win, they would have to destroy the buildings & supplies located at Roodewal Station, destroying British elements would not count.  To destroy a Building/supplies, a Boer element would have to spend one complete round in base to base contact.  The British had to destroy 4 Boer elements...  Game on!

Nice game, a pity the British Reinforcements were a bit late.  The Boers were always going to win that one.  The Maxim Gun was pants, typical really.  Well given the situation with Google, that might be the last post for a while.. We shall see.

BOO! BLogger... BOO!

I'm not happy, BLOGGER - GOOGLE have raised the amount of cash they want for storage of images.  We currently pay a vast $5 a year for 20 GB.... HOWEVER they have now changed the storage plans.  The 'Highway Robbers' now want $2.50 a MONTH !  That in my book is big increase in money, BANG out of ORDER Google!!! I don't mind paying a fee, but this is being forced onto users.

So! I'm in a grump, do we change blogs?  Do we pay the fee?  Who knows I will be mulling it over.  We don't use anywhere near the 20 GB storage, I believe it was 1.5 GB for all our piccies.  The other option would be to reduce our storage, very tricky getting under the 1GB free storage Google offer.  BOO! Google BOO!!!!
